The late David Alexander performed all over the world as a Stage Pickpocket, Magician and Mentalist. The protégé of famed Spanish Magician José Frakson, David’s personality, skills and knowledge made him a popular and successful society entertainer in the Los Angeles area. There he performed for everyone from the stars of the Golden Age of films such as Van Johnson and Norma Shearer to music greats including Bob Dylan and The Beatles. His friends were a “Who’s Who” from the arts, sciences and the world of magic.
In the 1970s David compiled copious notes on the Stage Pickpocket Act. In those chapters he shared a lifetime of insight and experience gleaned in the world of the Stage Pickpocket, also delving into his background as a Private Detective who had access and inside knowledge of the world of Street Pickpockets. This hard-cover book incorporates David’s earlier writing on the subject, edited and updated with all new illustrations by his wife, Cassidy Alexander.
