Factory Misprints by JC Wagner & Jamy Ian Swiss
Discover the enchanting magic of Factory Misprints, a creation by J.C. Wagner inspired by the legendary Peter Kane’s “Blankety-Blank.” This mesmerizing routine transforms four blank cards into four of a kind, delivering a performance that is both clean and astonishingly convincing.
Unlike traditional packet tricks, Factory Misprints eliminates common flaws with its innovative handling. The included comprehensive manuscript not only details the main routine but also offers multiple handlings for cleanup and reset, along with two follow-up effects, including a version of the classic “Daley’s Last Trick.”
When Jamy Ian Swiss first received a set of Factory Misprints from J.C. Wagner, he experimented extensively and developed a handling that allowed the same cards to perform “The Last Trick of Dr. Jacob Daley” (from The Dai Vernon Book of Magic by Lewis Ganson). This spectator-hand version eliminates any suspicion, making it a favorite in J.C.’s lectures for years.
The Factory Misprints kit includes everything you need to perform this magical routine:
- Gaffed playing cards set
- Carrying wallet
- Detailed 13-page booklet
- Passworded link to an instructional video
- Video of Jamy performing the routine at the Magic Castle
Experience the magic that has captivated audiences and magicians alike. Perfect for both beginners and seasoned professionals, Factory Misprints is a must-have addition to your magic repertoire.

This very magical J.C. Wagner creation was inspired by a trick called “Blankety-Blank” by the late Peter Kane, the creator of the neo-classic packet trick, “Gypsy Curse,” among many other innovative items that bear his name.
The effect of “Factory Misprints” is that four blank cards are magically and progressively “printed” as four of a kind. That prosaic description does little justice to this surprising and magical routine, which solves many of the traditional flaws of packet tricks by way of extremely clean and convincing handling. In addition, this comprehensive manuscript describes a number of handlings for cleaning up and resetting, along with two follow-up effects, including a version of the trick popularly known as Daley’s Last Trick.
When J.C. first sent Jamy a set of “Factory Misprints” many years ago, J.C. made the sets up with random assortments of faces, changing four blanks into four random cards. Purely by chance, the set Jamy received led him, upon several weeks of experimenting, to create a handling that enabled the use of the same cards to perform “The Last Trick of Dr. Jacob Daley” (from The Dai Vernon Book of Magic by Lewis Ganson). The trick is performed in the spectator’s hand, thus cancelling any suspicion of the cards. J.C. liked this enough to include in his lectures ever after, and in 2006, Jamy wrote and produced a thoroughly detailed and illustrated 13-page manuscript for J.C., which he and J.C. both sold for many years.
The kit includes all the necessary props – set of gaffed playing cards and a carrying wallet – the detailed 13-page booklet – and a passworded link to a fully detailed instructional video, along with a video of Jamy performing the routine at the Magic Castle (which can be seen here on this page).
