The Routine
A card is selected from a shuffled deck, signed by a spectator, and returned to the deck. The deck is then shuffled again by the spectator. An empty paper bag, thoroughly examined by the audience, is introduced, and the deck is tossed inside. The spectator is asked to shake the bag, making the task of finding the chosen card seem impossible. The magician then takes a knife and stabs it into (and through!) the bag. With a dramatic motion, the knife is ripped from the bag, revealing a single card impaled on the blade—the spectator’s signed selection!
Just as the applause begins to fade, the magician reaches into the bag and produces a large shot glass filled to the brim with water (or any other liquid), adding an unexpected twist to the performance.
