A spectator is asked to name their favorite Pokémon. “Would you be impressed if the Pokémon you chose is actually on a piece of paper right here in this envelope?” The magician then reveals a booklet titled The Complete Pokédex, proving that every Pokémon is accounted for!
The Pokémon Manga Twist
But the magic doesn’t stop there! The magician introduces a Pokémon Manga and asks a spectator to choose a page at random. They memorize a word from the page, and the magician attempts to guess it. When the spectator reveals their chosen word—a Pokémon name like “Golduck”—the magician’s prediction seems off: “Fifty Five.” But wait! Pokémon have numbers. The magician opens The Complete Pokédex to Pokémon #55, and it’s revealed to be Golduck! The audience is left in awe.
