Here's the effect: The performer leaves the room, after which several spectators each select an article and also one of the mysterious “BOXES OF CHANG.” Each spectator chooses a different colored box into which he places the article he has chosen. The boxes containing the articles are now hidden in the pockets of the various spectators, or any other place. Upon entering the room the performer INSTANTLY tells each spectator the color of the box which he has hidden in his pocket and also names the article it contains. No assistants are required to perform this miraculous effect and the performer does not, at any time handle the boxes or the articles.
