The Cesaral Mental Frisbee (CMF) is a Magic & Tech device with an integrated accelerometer and ultra-long range wireless transmitter. It can transmit the audience member's selection to the receiver so that the performer obtains the information in real-time.

Using a frisbee to select a random audience member is a familiar procedure for magicians and mentalists, but the frisbee itself is usually purposeless apart from being tossed to the audience member. With the CMF, the frisbee itself is used to perform a formal and professional level mind-reading effect, transforming the most uneventful and time-consuming audience selection process into a highlight of your show.

"With the passing of the years, I have seen many magicians performing all sorts of magic effects. In many cases, the magician asks for the help of one or several audience members. In some cases, specifically for mental magic effects, the magician needs random persons from the audience. To achieve this, magicians throw an object (well…a ball mainly) so that it is moved randomly several times across the audience to get the person or persons that will help the magician. But that ball or object does not fly at all…this part of the act is normally boring and time-consuming. It does not catch my attention...
When I watch a magic performance I can easily find things (small or big details) that could be more magical. The magician is on the stage to perform magic effects that the audience can really enjoy. In this case, I knew from the beginning that I had to do something cool for the magician.
I then thought: What could I create to make this part an attractive, funny, visual, and even magical experience? This was the spark that ended with the idea of the Mental Frisbee.
The idea of the magic mental frisbee has been in one of my notebooks that I use to write and draw all the ideas, for about 10 years…now I considered that it was the right time to work on it harder. I was sure that it could be a killer tool for the performer.
The Frisbee flies! There is no way to distinguish this Frisbee from other Frisbees in the market. The audience thinks that if something is thrown and can be hit hard in a wall, for example, then it must be done in plastic… and a cheap type of plastic. Not many people will think that there are hidden electronics inside the Frisbee, and those electronics are charged by an induction field. People think that electronics are sensible and can not support big crashes.
The fly of the Frisbee is also very magical in itself and very organic. If you spend a few minutes visualizing a Frisbee flying over your audience, a long distance, and a few people from the audience trying to get it so that they can throw it again... then you will agree that it is very visual and it will engage your audience easily!
Now, when the Frisbee lands and a spectator gets it, you can casually ask him "Would you like to try from where you are an experiment to see if you may be the right person to come to the stage? Please just find your favorite color in the Frisbee and point it upwards, but please don´t expose it. You can press your chest with the Frisbee so that no one can see it." Then the magician reveals the color and the spectator can´t understand how he did it. The magician has just created a link with that person, and that person can come onto the stage with warm applause.
