Description & Effect

Unleash the Impossible

Prepare to defy logic and create an object so impossible, it'll leave even seasoned magicians scratching their heads. Joshua Quinn's 'Conjunction' is more than just a trick; it's a testament to the art of impossibility. Imagine taking one of your standard business cards, folding and tearing it, only to reveal two solid, unbroken cardboard rings, inextricably linked through one another. This isn't just an illusion; it's a genuine transformation that creates an examinable, impossible object right before their eyes.

The Conjunction Difference

What truly sets 'Conjunction' apart from other linking effects is its absolute authenticity. The resulting rings are genuinely linked; they cannot be separated without physically tearing them apart. Your spectators can examine this marvel indefinitely, searching in vain for seams, joins, or any signs of tampering – because there are none. Crucially, this astonishing feat is achieved using nothing more than a single, ungimmicked business card. There's no glue, tape, or adhesive involved, no extra pieces to conceal, and absolutely nothing to 'ring in,' 'ditch,' or 'switch.' This is pure, unadulterated magic where the impossible becomes undeniably real.

Beyond Mere Magic

Even those well-versed in linking card effects will find themselves utterly baffled by 'Conjunction.' The idea of transforming a single, ordinary card into two solid, linked rings defies common sense and every expectation. It's an effect so powerful, it often prompts incredulous questions and demands for a hidden secret. The more impossible it seems, the greater its impact. Furthermore, when performed correctly, your personal contact information remains perfectly intact on the linked rings, turning this extraordinary souvenir into a unique, memorable giveaway that promotes your brand or services in an unforgettable way.

Conjunction is a remarkable effect with a very simple description. You take one of your business cards, give it a series of folds and tears, and in the process transform it into an impossible object: two unbroken cardboard rings that end up linked through one another.

So, you may ask, what sets Conjunction apart from the multitude of other effects that have bits of card linking together? Simple: You do it for real. The rings are given away in their genuinely linked state, from which they can't be unlinked without ripping them. They can be examined indefinitely with no danger of anyone finding any seams, joins or tears, because there aren't any. Furthermore, no glue, tape, or adhesive of any kind is used. Only one card is involved, with no gaffs, gimmicks or extra pieces, and nothing to ring in, ditch or switch. And naturally, if you've set it up correctly, the rings will still have your name and contact information on them, intact, at the end.

Even among those who know a thing or two about linking card effects, common sense dictates that what I've just described -- taking nothing but a single, ungimmicked card and genuinely turning it into two solid linked rings -- is utterly impossible. In fact I've received a number of incredulous emails insisting that there must be something left out of my description, because under the conditions I've listed, it simply can't be done. All I can say is, the more impossible it seems to you, the more you will love Conjunction.
