This isn't just a download; it's a rare chance to learn directly from one of the most respected thinkers in modern card magic.
Unveiling Four Stunning Routines
Inside 'The Ephemeral Lecture Notes', you'll find a quartet of routines designed to baffle and entertain any audience, from the casual observer to the seasoned magician:
- Beyond Collecting: Witness a stunning sequence where three selected cards vanish, only for the four aces to appear, followed by the selections magically materializing between them. This routine requires a perfect faro shuffle, offering a challenge and reward for the dedicated cardist.
- Passing Through: Engage your spectators as four-of-a-kind are seemingly lost in one half of the deck, then shuffled by a spectator. In an impossible display of skill, the cards are found together, face down, in the middle of the face-up half of the deck, having 'passed through' the impossible barrier.
- Hard Target: Two spectators freely select cards, which are then fairly lost in the deck. Using the two red jacks as magical 'detectives', you'll trap the first selection between them, then impossibly toss the jacks into the deck to miraculously catch the second selection. The fairness of the selections makes the climax even more impactful.
- Test Your Luck: A truly interactive and baffling effect where a spectator names any card. They then insert a random card into the deck, and in a moment of pure magic, they find they've located the very card they had named, seemingly against all odds.

Original Specs
These were the notes from a lecture by Darwin Ortiz at the International Magic Convention in London in 2007.
The lecture notes contain 4 effects:
Beyond Collecting - Three cards are selected and lost in the deck. The four aces then magically appear face up in the deck. A moment later, the selections materialize between the aces. Perfect faro required.
Passing Through - For of a kind are lost in one half of the deck which is shuffled by a spectator. The performer turns the other half face up. He then shuffles the two halves together, pushing on half through the other. the four of a kind are now found together, face down in the middle of the face up half, h***ing been caught in the process.
Hard Target - Two spectators select cards and return them to the deck. (Both the process of selecting the cards and losing them in the deck is exceptionally fair.) The performer shuffles the two red jacks into the deck and traps the selection between them. He then tosses the jacks into the deck and catches the second selection between them.
Test Your Luck - A spectator names any card. She then inserts a random card into the deck. In the process, she locates the card she had named.
The "Ephemeral" in the title refers to the fact the notes were ***ailable only at the lecture.
