Here’s what happens:
1. A deck is handed out to be shuffled and a small group of cards is removed by the spectator and secretly counted.
2. The deck is then handed over to a number of other spectators who also remove a handful of cards for themselves. They remember the number of cards in their packets and remember how many cards they have. They also sign a card in their packet.
3. The performer leads the audience through a series of chaotic steps where they move cards to different positions and shuffle their cards.
4. Everyone counts down to the number they are thinking of and impossibly the signed card is discovered at that location, even though all their numbers are different!
