Jermay X Vernon by Luke Jermay ( The Session 2025 Lecture Notes , Instant Download )
On the 10th of Janurary 2025, The Session Convention celebrated its 20th anniversary. The convention has come a long way and I am honoured to have been asked to appear 15 years in a row.
At the 20th anniversary event, I was thrilled to receive a standing ovation for my lecture and astonished to discover that the lecture note video download, sold out in record time, leaving many people at the event wanting to purchase and unable to.
The lecture focused on my handlings of material created by the great Dai Vernon, taken directly from my performances for real audiences.
Included is my handling of Twisting the Aces, which includes my professional scripting and staging to transform it into a true feature performance piece and a squeaky clean handling of Triumph that is as close to self working as you can get and yet has fooled some of the best magicians in the world time and time again over the last 5 years.
These two routines, thanks to the specific scripting and theatrical construction form a scream inducing “12 minute complete act” for lay audiences. I actually use this act as an encore piece for my own professional conjuring performances, it is, in my opinion, that strong!
Also included is my ultra streamlined and real world re-handling of “Emotional Reaction” which is well suited to either the mentalist or magician which eliminates the error prone process heavy approach with a much simplier but no less effective methodological approach.
Please note – these are not huge budget productions, rather they are intended to replicate the experience of us sitting together at my dinning room table with me teaching you the tricks personally.
These are intimate “video lecture notes” and not flashy full scale broadcast production that you might have grown to expect from the magic community. Here the focus is on quality and content, not sizzle.
