Discover the Magic of Fusion Coins by Dr. Michael Rubinstein
Experience the thrill of the impossible with Fusion Coins, one of Dr. Michael Rubinstein’s most captivating routines. This mesmerizing trick leaves audiences in awe and is perfect for both beginners and seasoned magicians.
Here’s how it works: Hand your friends two coins—a Half Dollar and a Penny—for examination. Explain the different metals they’re made of, then place the Penny on top of the Half Dollar. With a simple squeeze, the Penny magically sinks into the Half Dollar, creating a single, fused coin. The result is astounding and can be handed out for inspection.
But the magic doesn’t stop there! With a gentle shake, the Penny falls out, returning both coins to their original state, ready for examination. This clever routine is a crowd-pleaser that never fails to impress.

Routines with impossible objects as their surprise ending always over-perform. This is one of Michael Rubinstein’s favorites.
The basic routine features you handing two coins to your friends for examination (a Half Dollar and a Penny) as you explain the different metals they are made of.
You then place the Penny on top of the Half Dollar and after a little squeeze the penny sinks into the quarter and is fused inside. The odd new coin can then be examined.
You pick up the coin, give it a little shake and the penny falls out leaving everything examinable and ordinary.
Also includes some quickies by Meir Yedid using the coins.
