Unleash Unforgettable Mentalism with Psyclock
Prepare to astound your audience with Psyclock by Paul Stockman, a truly hands-off mentalism effect. It's a profound demonstration of influence and foresight, leaving every spectator questioning reality. Designed for the discerning performer, Psyclock eliminates common technical pitfalls, allowing you to focus purely on theatricality. Elevate your act with a routine that's as baffling as it is brilliant.
The Astonishing Effect Revealed
The routine begins with a stopped wall clock. A spectator is given a bell, tasked with ringing it at any chosen moment, without external cues, despite your subtle influence. You then secretly set the clock to a prediction time, seal it in an envelope, and display it prominently – untouched by you again. When the bell rings, the spectator checks their watch, writes the time on the envelope, and keeps it safe. The grand finale: the clock from the envelope displays the *exact* time the spectator penned down. Versatile for close-up openers or a show-stopping encore, this guarantees an unforgettable experience.
Why Psyclock Stands Apart
Psyclock revolutionizes clock predictions with a pure, self-contained method. There are 'no remote controls,' 'no off-stage assistance,' and the performer 'never touches the clock once it's on the stand.' This ingenious design ensures total autonomy, making it a robust and reliable piece for any repertoire. The sheer impossibility of the outcome, combined with the spectator's direct, seemingly uninfluenced involvement, creates a truly baffling and memorable experience. It's a clean, direct, and undeniably powerful effect.
Mastering Psyclock for Your Act
Paul Stockman crafted Psyclock to be 'very easy to perform,' fitting 'straight into your act' with minimal effort. This comprehensive ebook provides all secrets, subtleties, and handling techniques for a confident presentation. Whether you're a seasoned professional or an aspiring mentalist, Psyclock offers immense value. It thrives in 'almost any performing situation,' guaranteeing a fantastic reaction every time.
Original Specs
A standard wall clock is shown to be working and the battery is removed to stop the clock. A spectator is handed a bell and given the very important task of ringing it at some point during your show. She is told to ring it whenever she feels the time is right (she is not given any clues) even though every so often you may try and influence her choice.
You now set the clock with a prediction time, put it in a large envelope and place it on an easel or stand in full view of your audience. You never touch the clock again!
At any given moment your spectator can ring the bell. When she does, she is asked to come on stage, check the time on her watch and write it on the envelope. She now takes the envelope (which contains the clock) back to her seat and is instructed to keep it safe until the end of the show). As the finale to the show you ask her to bring the envelope back on stage, remove the clock from the envelope and call out the time you set it to at the beginning of the show. It is the exact time your spectator has written on the envelope! Use Psyclock at a close up performance by introducing it at the beginning of your set. It makes a great Finale to the evening getting everyone involved and will end the night with a standing ovation! (*Please note the table top stand is not included!)
