Unleash Unprecedented Magical Power

Dive deep into 'The Secret Art of Magic,' an groundbreaking ebook by master magicians Eric Evans and Nowlin Craver, designed to transform your understanding and execution of magical performance. This isn't just another magic book; it's a profound journey into the strategic heart of deception, drawing astonishing parallels between ancient war tactics and the art of enchantment. Comprised of two meticulously crafted sections, 'Street Magic & The Art of War' and 'The Secret Art of Dispersion,' this digital download offers a unified, powerful paradigm for magicians seeking to elevate their craft to legendary status.

Mastering the Streets and Your Audience

The first section, 'Street Magic & The Art of War,' is already hailed as 'THE textbook' for street performers. It meticulously breaks down the intricate world of street magic, applying time-tested strategies from Sun Tzu's 'The Art of War.' Learn everything from selecting the perfect trick and crafting a compelling pitch, to effectively stopping passersby, skillfully handling hecklers, building an engaged crowd, and even gracefully collecting your earnings. More critically, this section imparts invaluable lessons on controlling yourself and, most importantly, your audience – the foundational pillars of truly unforgettable performance. It equips you not just with tricks, but with the mental fortitude and strategic foresight of a true magic warrior.

The Revolutionary Art of Dispersion

The heart of this extraordinary work lies within 'The Secret Art of Dispersion,' an extensive section that redefines misdirection as you know it. Drawing inspiration from an ancient Chinese manuscript outlining 36 strategies for deception in warfare, Evans and Craver introduce 'dispersion.' This revolutionary concept extends beyond merely directing attention; it unifies all methods magicians employ to control an audience's awareness – not just what they perceive, but what they actively think about, and crucially, what they strategically fail to consider. Through a wealth of practical examples, 'The Secret Art of Dispersion' demonstrates its profound applicability across the entire spectrum of magic, from intricate sleight-of-hand and grand illusions to captivating stand-up routines, dove acts, compelling mentalism, and delightful children's magic. Prepare to assimilate and implement deception with unprecedented depth and effectiveness.

Your Essential Guide to Strategic Magic

Spanning 288 pages of transformative wisdom, 'The Secret Art of Magic' isn't just highly recommended by luminaries; it's considered required reading for any dedicated student of the art. This ebook provides a new and utterly different way to approach your act, offering an insightful, thought-provoking framework that promises to make you a true warrior of enchantment. Original Specs

The Secret Art of Magic is comprised of two sections, essentially two books: Street Magic & The Art of War and The Secret Art of Dispersion. Separate, yet inextricably linked by the paradigm of ancient war strategy.

Street Magic & The Art of War uses strategies from Sun Tzu’s The Art of War to teach the intricacies of street magic, from trick selection, to the pitch, to stopping people, to handling hecklers, to building a crowd, to collecting the hat. Its most profound lessons, however, deal with controlling yourself and your audience, the most critical thing for all performers.
Though Street Magic and The Art of War is already being called “THE textbook” for street magic, ultimately the most important and largest section of the book is The Secret Art of Dispersion. It provides a framework to understand, assimilate, and implement deception as never before.

Using an ancient Chinese manuscript of 36 strategies for deception in warfare, The Secret Art of Dispersion teaches a new and expanded approach to misdirection—dispersion. Based on the military concept of dispersing concentration, it not only encompasses the concept of directing/misdirecting attention, but unifies all the ways magicians control their audience’s awareness. Not just of what they see, but of what they think about (and conversely, and perhaps more importantly, what they don’t think about). While misdirection is usually thought of as a tool just for sleight of hand or manipulation, The Secret Art of Dispersion uses a plethora of examples to show the applications of dispersion with apparatus, illusions, stand-up, doves, mentalism, and children’s magic as well.

“This book will make you a warrior of enchantment. Using and fully explaining the time-tested strategies and tactics of war, its goals however are those of a lover: to seduce, charm, and satisfy audiences. This is the aim of all performance, especially when done alfresco, in the raw, in the trenches. Highly recommended.”

“Who could have guessed that two “good ol’ boys” from Texas would unlock the real secrets of magic by deciphering a 2,400 year old Chinese manuscript on warfare? The fact that both are international award winning magicians makes this no less astonishing an accomplishment. This is a thought-provoking, insightful, and important work. Ignore it at your own peril.”
-Richard Hatch
