What Happens in Laced Up?
- The magician borrows a finger ring from an audience member.
- The ring is simply touched to the shoe laces near the toe of the shoe, the very bottom of the laces.
- Impossibly, the ring penetrates the shoelace and is linked on with absolutely no cover right in the middle of the laces.
- To get the ring off, the magician visibly plucks the tied bow of the laces off the top of the shoe.
- Reattaches the knot at the point in the laces where the ring is linked.
- In an unbelievable moment, the shoe laces are untied, and the ring is returned to the spectator.
- The magician can then retie the laces, move the knot back to the top of the shoes, and even untie them again to prove the knot actually moved.
