Who Is Allan Ackerman?

Allan Ackerman is a master of sleight-of-hand magic with playing cards. He has authored a series of books and starred in numerous instructional DVDs, teaching card magic from beginner to advanced levels. Previously a mathematics professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Allan also performs coin magic in addition to his card work.

For over three decades, Allan has exchanged ideas with some of the world’s best card magicians. Combined with his own research, these experiences have culminated in a treasure trove of original and practical material he shares with the magic community. Allan has lectured extensively across the US and Europe, drawing from his lecture notes and DVDs to teach new and sophisticated techniques ideal for professional performances.

Having studied under the legendary Chicago cardician Ed Marlo, Allan now resides in Las Vegas and teaches MCSE, MCSA, Net+, and A+ Certifications at the Community College of Southern Nevada.
