Aldo Colombini – 5-Card Mystery
Step into the world of magic with the Aldo Colombini – 5-Card Mystery, a captivating card routine that will leave your audience spellbound. Based on Frank Garcia’s “Five-Card Stunner” and enhanced by the techniques of Ken de Courcy and Herb Rungay, this trick is perfect for stand-up performers, whether in parlor or stage settings—no table required!
Here’s how it works:
- Start by showing a black card (like the 9 of Clubs) and four red cards.
- When fanned, the black card mysteriously vanishes, leaving only the red cards.
- Eliminate one red card and retrieve the missing black card from your pocket.
- Repeat the process, making the black card disappear again and again, until only one card remains.
- Challenge your audience: “What’s the remaining card? Red? Or black?” Their guess will be wrong—it’s the black card!
This mind-blowing routine includes the DVD and all the cards required, making it easy for you to master and perform. Perfect for adding a touch of mystery to your act, the 5-Card Mystery is sure to amaze and entertain.
The routine is based on Frank Garcia’s “Five-Card Stunner” but also on handlings by Ken de Courcy and Herb Rungay. It is perfect for stand-up performers (parlor or stage) with no table required. You show a black card (say the 9C) and four red cards. When the cards are fanned, there are only four and they are all red; the black card has vanished. You eliminate one red card and then you remove the missing black card from the pocket. Again the cards are shown and then fanned. There are three red cards; the black card vanishes for the second time. You eliminate another red card and remove the black card from the pocket. The three cards are shown singly, closed and fanned. There are two red cards; the black card has gone again. You eliminate another red card and the black card is brought back from the pocket. The two cards are placed together. “This time I’ll give you a 50-50 chance. I’ll take away the black card and place it in my pocket. The 64 dollar question is… what is the remaining card?… Red?… Or black?” They will probably say, “Red.” The card in the left hand is turned over. It is the black card. It comes with the DVD and all the cards required.
