What is the oldest effect in Magic? Most magicians would say it is the cups and balls.
We also thought so, until we did some research on this particular product.
The oldest documented form of magic was in ancient India in 3000 BC and it was the effect we now know as the Lota Bowl.
It appears in a form of a jug or kettle made of clay. Water is poured from the jug until the jug is empty, then left aside for a while. When the jug is picked up again, water is then poured from the jug again. This is then repeated again and again… for at least a dozen times.
It is speculated that the original use of the Lota Bowl was not for magic or entertainment, but in ceremonies to seemingly perform miracles. However, over the course of thousands of years, it has gradually become one of the most common props used by magicians.
Once again, we have taken this ancient and classic effect and integrated it with modern style to bring you… The Endless Cup.
Endless Water, Endless possibilities.
