The Expression Test by Erik Casey: A Masterpiece of Modern Magic
The Expression Test is a groundbreaking FAISDU (from a shuffled deck in use) trick conceived by the ingenious Erik Casey. This innovative effect will leave your audience in awe and cement your reputation as a master magician.
- Years in the Making: After over six years of refinement, The Expression Test is now ready to captivate audiences worldwide.
- Effortless and Astonishing: A card is freely chosen from a shuffled deck, returned, and shuffled again. With minimal sleight of hand and no gimmicks, the selection visually appears after a simple shake of the cards.
- Unmatched Precision: The other three cards are then revealed to perfectly match the selection, creating a jaw-dropping moment that will be remembered forever.
- Borrowed and Shuffled Deck: Perform this trick with any borrowed shuffled deck, making it perfect for impromptu performances.
- Completely Surrounded: The effect is performed in a completely surrounded setting, ensuring there are no angles or hidden moves that could give away the secret.
Shot, directed, and edited by Joao Da Silva, with voice-over provided by Bryan Saint, The Expression Test is a testament to the artistry and creativity of modern magic. Inspired by the works of Ryan Schlutz and Shoot Ogawa, and with special thanks to Sebastian Gerhardt for his invaluable insights, this trick is a must-have for any magician looking to elevate their craft.
A new FAISDU (from a shuffled deck in use) trick created by Erik Casey.
The Expression Test has been in the making for over 6 years now. A card is freely chosen from a shuffled deck. Returned. And then shuffled again.
You then show a series of four cards, each one getting progressively closer to their selection as you read the expression on their face. The spectator says that their card is not any of the cards. But all you have to do is give the cards a little shake and the selection visually appears.
After they pick their jaws up from the floor the other three cards are then revealed to perfectly match the selection. This is done with almost no sleight of hand, a borrowed shuffled deck, no gimmicks, and completely surrounded.
