Propless T.O.P stands for Propless Tossed Out Places. And it makes use of a “topless prop”. Suitable venues are virtual shows and stage shows where audience members are from about 20 to about 2000 numbers. You can perform this as a purely propless effect or as an ‘almost’ propless effect using the “topless prop”. This works great as both an opener or a closer. Propless TOP can also be adapted very easily to close up and parlor shows.
The method is completely self-working and presentation is the key. You can play this in a ‘tossed out deck’ effect style or you can also play this as a pseudo mass hypnotism effect.
The performer throws out an imaginary and invisible deck of 100 cards into the audience and about 3, 4 or 5 participants are randomly chosen. In a classic ‘tossed out deck’ style, the performer names the 3 places being merely thought of by the 3 (or 4 or 5) participants.
